Abelone is a Danish fashion designer based in Antwerp, Belgium. Her design-universe is rooted in the Scandinavian timeless style-aesthetic with key elements such as simple lines, minimalism, and functionality without sacrificing beauty.
Her women's & men’s wear collections have a contemporary feeling, - urban wear with great attention to both body & detail. Imperfections, textures, or graphic components often trigger me with instant inspiration.
FIRST LOVE
She grew up in a creative environment, surrounded by Danish design, architecture, modern art, jazz & classical music. At the creative Rudolf Steiner School, she found my first big love - the cello!
INTERNATIONAL STUDIES
Master Degree, Fashion & Textile Design from Institute François a la Mode in Paris. Winchester School of Arts + Fashion Drawing course at the renowned Central Saint Martins in London.
DNA
Her mother was a dressmaker with a great sense of elegance & beauty in her work. Her father was a shoemaker. She still recalls the wonderful scent of leather when visiting her dad in his workshop. Craftsmanship is part of her family’s DNA.
