  • In the 1990s, in addition to their careers in contemporary art for the former and pre-Columbian art for the latter, Patrick and Alix Everaert developed a growing interest in the creations of 20th century designers.

This passion was embodied in the accumulation of a collection of furniture and objects that attracted the attention of the press and other design enthusiasts. In 1997, they decided to create the website DesignAddict, which brought together a large part of their collection, in the spirit of the free sharing of knowledge that characterised the early days of the internet.

Their website quickly became an international reference in the field of design, until 2017 when they sold it to free themselves from the very heavy constraints imposed by the daily management of the website.

It provided an opportunity to bring their long involvement in the world of design to life in a less virtual form. By creating Fanfare, they were finally able to combine the expertise they had accumulated over more than 30 years in the fields of contemporary art, primitive art, design and architecture.

This is now taking shape in the form of small series of objects created in line with their environmental commitments.
